A new voice for ancient Wisdom as mystical folk music.
Something new has been quietly growing from the same root as the Living From Good website. The poems you’ve been reading here within Impressions have become song, and gathered into a YouTube channel called Keeper of the Shards.
Mystical folk music, contemplative folk songs — sacred poetry set to music drawn from many traditions: Celtic folk, Appalachian dulcimer, Taizé, Arvo Pärt tintinnabuli, Sufi chant, early sacred chant. A good vessel for each poem.
Each video is crafted from a single cinematic image, a single original poem, two minutes of music. Drawn from the deep wells of the sacred wisdom tradition. The lineage you’ll recognize: the Desert Fathers and Mothers, the Gospels of Thomas and Philip, Cynthia Bourgeault’s Wisdom teachings, the Gurdjieff work.
My aim is simple: sacred teachings inspire the poetry, and the poetry finds its way into sacred musical form.
The channel exists for anyone who has lost the traditional container but not the thirst. If that’s you, or someone you know, come on in.

May this work find those it was made for.
