“When the heart is aligned with its eternal image, abundance cascades forth from that place of origin.” Cynthia Bourgeault

When Yeshua appeared to his disciples in glory on the mountain, he was great, he was not small. It was he who made his disciples great, so that they would be able to see him in his grandeur. That very day he said in his act of grace: “Thou who hast united fullness and light with Breath, let our image and our angel be with us.”
Gospel of Philip, Saying 26, LeLoup

“Guardian Angels — or the feminine form, ‘Angelines’ — are the manifestation of high and pure maternal love.” — Valentin Tomberg, Meditations on the Tarot, p377

“The Guardian Angeline accompanies as a faithful ally the divine image in human.”  Meditations on the Tarot, p375

“Angels, including Guardian Angelines, live and move exclusively in the vertical. Ascent and descent constitute the law of their life, their respiration. They ascend towards God; they descend towards mankind.”  Meditations on the Tarot, p378

“The Guardian Angeline cherishes the endeavor, quest and aspiration of the soul.” Meditations on the Tarot, p376

“Identity is conferred by your progressive ability to manifest in union with your divine source, and as you come more and more in contact with that, what you manifest is authenticity. In the Islamic mysticism tradition, that sense is carried in the relationship between the angel and the image, the icon and the being.” Cynthia Bourgeault, Holy Trinity and the Law of Three, 4:40 1-08 Religious Commonalities

“With respect to the likeness or totality of functions of the human being, a hotbed of sin has taken root there. And it is immortal only in proportion to the measure that it conforms again to its image.

“The Guardian Angeline accompanies as a faithful ally the divine image in man, just as vicious inclinations have made their way into the human functional organism. The Guardian Angeline undertakes the functions destroyed by original sin in the likeness, and fills the breach wrought by them.” Meditations on the Tarot, p375

“Think of your Guardian Angeline when you have problems, questions to resolve, tasks to accomplish, plans to formulate, cares and fears to appease. Think of her as a luminous cloud of maternal love above you, moved by the sole desire to serve you and to be useful to you.

“The Guardian Angeline will never interpose herself between your soul and God. She is the friend of the bride at the spiritual marriage of the soul and God.” Meditations on the Tarot, p378-379

“The friend of the wife only leads the wife to the husband — then she withdraws. Her joy is that of her diminishing and of seeing that of the wife increase.” Meditations on the Tarot, p381

“When the heart is aligned with its eternal image, abundance cascades forth from that place of origin, infinitely more powerful than the scarcity and constriction of this world.” Cynthia Bourgeault, The Meaning of Mary Magdalene, p52

“The contact established between image and likeness is experienced as inner weeping. The usual experience rendered by the expression ‘I am moved to tears’ is only a reflection of what happens when image and likeness touch. They then mingle their tears — and the inner current which results from this is the life of the human soul.” Meditations on the Tarot, p387

“You’re living out of that sacred essence that you share with your angel and are cultivating it in such a way that it becomes rich, beautiful food, not only for the divine, but a banquet for this realm as well.” Cynthia Bourgeault, Divine Exchange, 5:19 disc5 track3

Humans mate with humans, horses with horses, donkeys with donkeys, each species with its own. Likewise, our breath seeks another breath, our intelligence seeks intelligence, and every clarity seeks its light. Become more human, and humans will love you; become more spiritual, and the Spirit will unite with you. Become more intelligent, and the Logos will unite with you.

If you become more clear, the light will unite with you. If you ascend, you will find repose in the heights. If you behave like a horse or donkey, calf, dog, sheep, or any other animal outside yourself, you will be capable of union with neither human, spirit, Logos, nor light, nor with what is above, nor with what is within. None of these realities can settle in you if you do not become like them through love.
Gospel of Philip, Saying 113, LeLoup

Guardian Angeline

Luminous cloud of maternal love,

breath of ascent and descent,

faithful ally of the Origin.

Every soul has one.

Let our image and our angel be with us.

Cherish the endeavor of the soul.

Pray to allow summer.

The vase waits to be turned,

and the rope dangles.

The moment of reaching

is the moment of waking.

Let our image and our angel be with us.

Cherish the endeavor of the soul.

Image and likeness touch,

mingling their tears.

The inner current,

the life of the soul,

flowing between two vases.

Let our image and our angel be with us.

Cherish the endeavor of the soul.

Friend of the bride,

the Angel’s joy is in

diminishment.

Find repose in the heights,

as clarity finds its light.

Let our image and our angel be with us.

Cherish the endeavor of the soul.

William Britten
