Self Align with Attention: a Consent Cycle

by | Consent Cycles, Attention, Cynthia Bourgeault

A brief pause from within the field of Good: Self alignment.

Orientation

Attention rests as allowance,

as a form of consent.

Nothing is forced open,

Nothing shut.

Attention simply stays.

And staying becomes prayer.

Morning Alignment

I offer my attention.

Gently.

Without urgency.

I consent to what is already given.
I remain.

Evening Release

What has been carried

returns to silence.

I rest in what remains.
