Wise poetry from the teachings of Cynthia Bourgeault
CONSENT
I.
Unbearable stillness of unredeemed love.
Waiting, before consent.
Great wealth aching toward poverty.
Love with no vessel.
Fullness without form.
Stuck in dull, dead latency.
II.
The wilderness.
Seven sorrows.
The ground of pain.
Constriction.
Compression.
Craving.
III.
Then,
consenting.
Mary’s presence.
Light born from fire.
The birth of our hearts.
Wealth coming home.
