Evening Blessings: The Sacred Vessel

by | Poems-Benedictions-Intentions, Attention, Being

Evening Blessings as the day draws to its gentle close …

Beloved vessel of light,
May you stand as the still point between the tides,
rooted in the unshakeable ground of I am.
In this tender hour between day and night,
pause… and remember what you have been today,
the delicate instrument through which energies have moved
as the steady river flowing toward its destined sea.

Breathe now, and feel within
May you be a willing vessel—
where heat becomes light,
where the coarse rises as fine.
Let the lower in you serve the higher without complaint,
small self in faithful service to the Greater Self,
as if it were your paid work in the universe.

Let your attention settle
Feel it soft and ready to receive whatever blessing this evening holds.
Into this sacred space, breathe gently and whisper:
I am…
Rest here.
Let these two simple words anchor you
in the unshakeable ground of Being.

As you prepare for rest…
Know that you have been faithful to your post.
In this uncertain season between tides,
you have kept your heart clear and steady.
You have allowed yourself to be used in the great exchange of energies
that moves through all things.
Rest in the knowing that you are held.
You are the place where worlds meet,
And this is holy work you do
simply by being who you are.
May you sleep in the peace of the sacred vessel…
May your dreams be touched by the higher energies…
May you wake tomorrow ready once more to be the clear channel
through which love flows into the world…
And so it is. And so you are.
Amen.
