A Morning Intention on Practicing Gratitude from the teachings of Cynthia Bourgeault.

What Eyes Cannot See

I wake today
to the transforming force
of genuine gratitude.

I will find, in whatever comes,
one small thing
to hold and welcome—
turning tightness into space,
closure into breath.

My first response to seeing
is thank you,
even when the sight
breaks me.

I stand present.
I breathe out gratitude
as my natural offering—
the sacrament of being here
without grasping,
without defense.

I give entitlement no foothold.

Today I offer the world
what no eye has seen,
no ear has heard—
the gift of a creature
breathing out
in thanksgiving.

Logion 17
Yeshua says…
What your own eyes cannot see,
your human ears do not hear,
your physical hands cannot touch,
and what is inconceivable to the human mind–
that I will give to you!
