Sit in your aliveness, consciously steward your atmosphere, being in the present.

“Taking responsibility for our whole self and stewarding our atmosphere. This means we are responsible for our personality, egoic operating system, mental, emotional, spiritual, and physical well being, as well as the ways our experiences and conditioning have shaped us. Stewarding our atmosphere is about recognizing the energetic state of our atmosphere in any given moment, working to keep within our atmosphere, and opening to the more potent energetic vibrations from World 24 that may be wanting to arise and move into whatever situations we are in.” Heather Ruce, Gurdjieff Circle Spring 2024.

“Start out bringing yourself into Three-Centered Awareness. And as that settles, and as you work within the atmosphere, just because it helps it to be so contained that you can actually begin to taste it. Then you begin to, as atmosphere comes into the same sort of quiet continuation of the life within your body, then the next step is that you begin to become aware of the subtle currents moving within your own first body. You catch the flow. And second body in yourself routinely, I believe, will first materialize and first be perceptible to you as a sense of your own aliveness.

“It’s the quality of the aliveness within the inner skin. And you catch that best when you sense the moving, flowing energy and begin to sense the force and color of it. And then as you sense that extending out through your atmosphere and filling your atmosphere with the quality of that aliveness, then you can begin to become aware of the exchange, that simple exchange going on as that quality of the growing fragrance of yourself exchanges out and as other things and other people come in.” Cynthia Bourgeault, Holding Our Planet 2024, 57:50 13 Tuesday pm Teaching.

“If we are to consciously steward our atmosphere, what happens if I’m feeling angsty or agitated while in a group practice? Should I withdraw from the web, should I withdraw from the group and go and handle that with welcome practice or is it okay to stay in the web and notice? I thought that was a very thoughtful question and a very generous question and the answer is to stay because the noticing has already shifted it.” Cynthia Bourgeault, Stonington 2022 2nd Body,  41:31 Eastertide Challenge with Cynthia Bourgeault – Q & A part 2.

“What’s the connection between the sea of mercy in which we live and move and have our own being and the term atmosphere that we’ve been working with? Well, that’s a really good connection. My take is that our atmospheres are our own personal access route and gateway into the mercy. They’re the intertidal zone, if you want to, between our own personal little psychological being and this great mercy in which we find ourselves immersed but mostly don’t know it. We live in mercy, we swim in mercy like the endless sea, but we don’t know it.

“Why are we so miserable? Because our atmospheres are disturbed. Our atmospheres get compact, tense, bent out of shape, directed after this object of our desiring, that object of our desiring, this self we’re trying out to see if it fits that self. And when our atmospheres are jumbled and disordered and just obsessed and drizzled by our goals and our fears and our passions, we get trapped in them like in an echo chamber and a pretty nasty echo chamber.

“As we learn to calm our atmosphere, the first phase is that it allows your whole being to fall into a deeper kind of order. And that kind of order that now falls out of your being to extend outward to this space that we’re always carrying around us so that it becomes a calm gateway that can interact much more easily and smoothly. It can hook up more smoothly with other atmospheres to form still bigger atmospheres called webs. The other function of a quiet atmosphere is that you can actually begin to taste in there when you, when you subtleize enough that you can pick it up, the direct fragrances of things like the mercy. And you feel the mercy walking towards you.

“We begin to discover in our atmosphere what the actual feelings are like, what the actual felt-sense imprint of things are. It’s in the atmospheres that we meet. We can meet the saints, the angels, the holy ones, people who have died in our life and we experience usually is gone. It’s in the great liminal zone of the mercy in the atmosphere that these become subtle exchanges in a relational field.

“So if you think of your atmosphere as the gateway to the mercy, you’ll find that there’s sort of a stepping stone of connections. And by bringing some attention and some loving care to keeping the garden of your atmosphere well nurtured and pruned and orderly, it much, much increases your capacity to perceive and to receive from the mercy, not just as a concept, which is where it mostly gets stuck, but actually right through your pores as you feel the life-giving exchange of the more subtle energies and holy elements that are keeping us alive in every instant. So all ahead, As we develop our Kesdjan body and we stand in three-centered awareness, our relational field is sensed in communion with others.” Cynthia Bourgeault, Encounter with Evil Feb 2023 CA,  20:50 Day 2c Evening Session.

“Pay attention, and one of the things as wisdom students that we can work on as we become aware of our own atmospheres is how and where you are when you’re smooth, when you’re rounded, when you’re whole, when your attentional field is in some state of impartiality. You can begin to sense what happens when you get scrambled, when you get pulled out of yourself, when you get derailed. This happens to everybody. Of course, we spend much more of our waking hours derailed than we do comfortably within our atmosphere. But to the extent you begin to realize that you can return and repair your atmosphere, a lot of the stuff that’s bugging you from the outside will lose its grip on you. So that your atmosphere can help you rewrite and re-regulate. It’s not a result of the smooth energy field out there. It’s your own ability to self-regulate and having conscious stewardship of your atmosphere.” Cynthia Bourgeault, Encounter with Evil April 2023 NC, 03c-Tues pm Teaching Evil.

“Firmly planted and fully occupying our atmosphere, we can then see what is needed. From a place of authority and clear seeing we can look at what is missing, a spiritual substance, and open to being a bridge to that which is needed. Then we can listen for whether this needs to happen explicitly through words and actions or implicitly through presence.” Heather Ruce, Gurdjieff Circle Spring 2024.

“Sit in your aliveness, in your atmosphere, and its straying free radicals of thoughts darting this way and that way, disturbing, and let them go. Allow your atmosphere to quieten, smooth, harmonious, and as your atmosphere becomes quiet, gently round, still, it becomes easy to widen your attention and sense the presence of the other atmospheres in the room, and allowing them to flow together as a single group atmosphere, the presence of our collective aim, our collective yearning, and you taste the strength of that, the power of that, and gathered in that single, vibrant oneness, you begin to become familiar with any of them. We’ll see you in the morning. Sleep well.” Cynthia Bourgeault, Encounter with Evil Feb 2023 CA, 1:22:11 Day 0 Introductory Teaching.

Yeshua says...
Suppose you are asked,
"Where have you come from?"
say, "We have come from the Light at its source,
from the place where it came forth
and was manifest as Image and Icon.
If you are asked, "Are you that Light?"
say, "We are its children,
and chosen by the Source, the Living Father."
If you are questioned,
"But what is the sign of the Source within you?"
say, "It is movement and it is rest."
