Attention. That’s the most immediate form of what we call psychic energy. And will and love.” Cynthia Bourgeault

“Will is one of the most powerful psychic forces in the world. And you can name a lot of them, almost all of what we’re going to call the imaginal properties or the imaginal energies are in the bandwidth of psychic force. They create effect. They create effects in the physical world. But they have not yet been detected or taken seriously by science, by and large. Teilhard de Chardin was trying to language this. He called psychic energy radial energy. And the energy that physics is used to measuring, he called tangential energy. And he saw radial energy, psychic force, as counterentropic and evolutionary. So that’s what we’re talking about. And so in that kind of a construction, the imaginal realm sits squarely in the bandwidth of psychic energy. And basically, it transmits and receives between the physical energies that run this planet and the yet more subtle spiritual energies of worlds beyond the imaginal.” Cynthia Bourgeault, Imaginal Wisdom School 8-2020, 48:20 0816 IWS Sunday Evening Teaching.

“Tomberg goes on to say, modern science has come to understand that matter is only condensed energy. Sooner or later, science will discover that what it calls energy is only condensed psychic force. Which discovery will lead in the end to the establishment of the fact that psychic force is the constant condensation, pure and simple, of consciousness, i.e. spirit. Well, what what Tomberg calls psychic force is what Teilhard calls radial energy. They’re talking about the same thing. It’s the more subtle energy energy that lies in prayer, attention, particularly in attention, will, you know, these things that don’t have a heft, that don’t have any kind of substance in the biochemistry of this world.” Cynthia Bourgeault, Relearning Trust Sept 2022, 58:40 RT 02 Morning Teaching 9-26.

“Virtually all these spiritual substances we’re talking about come under the heading of psychic energy or radial energy. In other words, they’re not tangential, they’re not measurable exactly by the properties of this world, but we know they do work. We know they change things. We know that they’re somehow vitally interconnected with this world. And that they can be wielded, but they are wielded by the self that matches the realm they belong to.” Cynthia Bourgeault, Relearning Trust Sept 2022, 58:50 RT 02 Morning Teaching 9-26.

“The big three to work with when you’re working with subtle energy, with psychic force, are love, understood as an energy, as a creative and transforming energy, attention, and will.”  Cynthia Bourgeault, Claymont 2019 Dec Gurdjieff-Teilhard, 27:06 14 – Thursday Morning Teaching.

“Attention. That’s probably the most immediate form of what you call psychic energy. Will and love. For me, those are the three biggies.” Cynthia Bourgeault, Claymont 2019 Oct Gurdjieff-Teilhard, 35:00 14 – SAT AM TEACHING.

“The absence of trust creates toxicity, a stuckness, a woundedness in the fabric of mercy that has to be repaired, and it has to be repaired in the only way. So the idea is, and this takes a lot of getting used to, because in World 48 logic, our usual common logic, it’s impossible, you know? You’re being a fool. You’re setting yourself up. But the gospel logic, which is World 12 logic, says, no, these are powers of the soul. These are generative powers of the soul. And we can wield them regardless of the response of the object. They’re not called forth by the object. They do not demand a safeguard in advance. They can be given, and when they are given and when they are put in that situation, in that kind of an offering of soul, the place where you have to come from to do that is in itself a healing force within the planet, that if we knew how to tap it, we’d already be living in a different planet.” Cynthia Bourgeault, Relearning Trust Sept 2022, 54:38 RT 01 Sunday eve 9-25.

“There is not a sharp divide between spirit and matter, but a continuum of energy that flows from the most subtle to the most dense. At the most subtle level, we have what Tomberg is calling spirit consciousness. And then it comes through this bandwidth called psychic force, down into physical energy, and finally into matter. And that’s the continuum. So what is psychic force? Psychic force consists of that bandwidth of energy that has not yet been physically measured by science. In other words, it’s more subtle than what we’re usually measuring and keeping track of. But we know it does work and creates effect. And put in there, the three biggies are love, will, and attention.” Cynthia Bourgeault, Imaginal Wisdom School 8-2020, 47:00 0816 IWS Sunday Evening Teaching.

“Modern science has come to the understanding that matter is only condensed energy—which, moreover, was known by alchemists and Hermeticists thousands of years ago. Sooner or later science will also discover the fact that what it calls ‘energy’ is only condensed psychic force—which discovery will lead in the end to the establishment of the fact that all psychic force is the ‘condensation’, purely and simply, of consciousness, i.e. spirit. Thus, it will be known for certain that we walk not thanks to the existence of legs, but rather that legs exist thanks to the will for movement, i.e. that it is the will for movement which has fashioned the legs so as to serve as its instrument. Similarly, it will be known that the brain does not engender consciousness but that it is the latter’s instrument of action. Our physical body is therefore an instrument composed of the will for action and for perception. Its genesis is the vertical line: spirit—>psychic force—>energy—>material organs.” Valentin Tomberg, Meditations on the Tarot, Letter XX The Judgement, p574.

“The energy that’s carried in intention and attention is extremely powerful. And when you come back and look at prayer not as, you know, words jabbered to God, but as a consecrated intention, lifted then you can begin to see that you’re really dealing with a channel, a bandwidth, that has profound power in it. And so, you know that most liberal Christians have given up believing in the power of prayer these days. It’s only because their attention is not good enough. But that as you begin to really begin to collect, focus, and be present to the conscious psychic energies of attention, will, intention, love powerful things happen that don’t have a localized connectivity. They come in from somewhere else.” Cynthia Bourgeault, Claymont 2014 Jacob Boehme,  1:01:35 3d.Thurspm TeachingGWS14.

“An instinctive man, a man who consults his own comfort first, who loves agreeable bodily sensations before anything else, cannot become Balanced Man, because all his psychic energy is used up in his agreeable bodily sensations.” Maurice Nicoll, Psychological Commentaries, p174.

“The ideas of the Work are to change the mind. They are very powerful. To think from an idea of this Work—such as that man is asleep on this earth and that is the real reason why everything is in the mess it is in—to think from such a powerful idea is to think in a new way. This means that new connections and associations are made in the mind and the psychic energy begins to traverse new paths. This is always a good experience.” Commentaries, p298.

“If you have begun to observe self-justifying, you will realize what a prodigious quantity of psychic energy is used every moment by the human race in this useless activity.” Commentaries, p999.

“Let us speak of different energies. The work says no amount of physical or mechanical energy will make vital energy ; no amount of vital energy will make psychic energy; and no amount of psychic energy will make conscious energy. So we can give Mr. Ouspensky’s diagram about this point:
Conscious Energy—>Psychic Energy—>Vital Energy—>Mechanical Energy”
Commentaries, p1147

Logion 106
Yeshua says...
When you are able to transform two into one,
then you will become a "Son of Humanity,"
and it will be possible for you
to say to a mountain, "Move," and it will move.
